Put new wheels on friday and noticed passager-side cv was leaking then yesterday an awful ticking/knocking started coming from same wheel..so back dont want to drive. any ideas what it may be? how much for parts? how safe to drive?

Sounds like the cv joint has ran dry and is fooked, is the ticking when your turning corners?

Chuck another CV boot on there and pack it full of grease... you might be lucky. If not new CV joint.

 Had the same on my car! Messed around for ages thinkin somethin in the engine bay was knocking Was a strange sound.
