Also think about this...when you look up into the sky and gaze at all those thousands of billions of stars and think 'there must be life out there',
well remember that a very high majority of them will be stars (as in buring hot balls of gas with no life)
You cant actualy make out a lot of planets with the naked eye so imagine how many planets are out there circuling these stars that we cant see....
And actually go into space, and realise that what we can see down from earth is actually 1/100000000000 of the actual stars you can see when your up there!!!!
Some very good points being made about "other life out there"... I personaly believe there is, and also agree with Cosmo about the possibility that there may be different forms of life beyond our understanding.
Something my dad once told me that stuck in my mind is the idea that we are all simply star dust... the elements we are made up of all come from exploded stars... an amazing phenomenon that opens my mind to other similar events or re-occurances that we may never ever discover
I personally find it very sad that we will never fully understand it all

Nothing to show off about really, but took these through a 650x magnification GPS guided telescope in Egypt the other day

it hurt my brain whenever i get into deep thought about space.
it's just too big to get my head around it. human beings don't have the brain power to conceive the size of space.
