There's a house just round the corner from me that's been empty for as long as I can remember. Is there anyway to find out who owns it?
It's got a lot of potential for somebody willing to put some time and a bit of money in to it

when I bought a house like that, every week there was letters/postcards pushed through the letterbox asking the owner to ring them up if they wanted to sell it

Land registry. Pay a small fee to find out.

Yep, Land Registry. Will cost about £4 for a copy of the registered title
