The problem he has is because he had such a good start, that is what is expected of him now. He probably did get lucky with the goals. Hes good but Welbeck seems the more natural goalscorer.

Yeah, expectation can be an utter bitch for young players, with fans getting on their backs the minute they dont light the PL up within 5 minutes of their debut.
Still though, neither Welbeck or Macheda will make it IMO. Not at United anyway.

I think Macheda will end up in Italy or Spain but Welbeck will stay, for a few seasons atleast. The fact he is local is already in his favour.

It'll be interesting in the next few years to see who does make it. Some of the guys in the reserve game for both teams stood out and some just looked utter shite (interestingly on the United side which I knew least about, it was the ones I did know - Welbeck, Macheda and Tosic - who were the worst!).

Looked really pacey. He got done a few times by both Eccleston and Amoo, both of which are lightening fast, and he caught up to them both a few times to recover.
Both of those for us have only stepped up to the reserves this season (was their 2nd or 3rd game) and both have looked amazing. Both fast, and really strong. Eccleston is a true both footed player as well.
Id be amazed if we didnt see both of them on the bench and making the odd appearance this season in the firsts.
Both English as well
