in the middle of town 2day my c.d player suddenly turned itself off and a ploom of yellow smoke poored out of the heater box in the passenger footwell!!! ive tried 3 different head units and they dnt work, have inspected the loom to as far as i can see and seems ok, do i need to rip the dash out and check all the loom? can this be common? looking 4ward 2 advice help!!lol

comman cause is either
1. one of the live has touched something thats earthed in the car
2. its overheated etc
pop it to your local halfords and ask there audio specialist to check your powers behind the headunit ( might just be a case of a new one put in) and also get them to check your radio on there powerboard inside there shop

av stripped it out and found a live touched an earthin the main loom to the headunit, has frazzled the live completly, gota take dash out i think to trace to were it stopped burning! hope it aint guna be a new loom n i can repair it!

just use a different live in your car no need for a whole new loom
