Ok, had this problem for a while you turn the igniton off and the cd player is still playing. I have to take the cover off to stop it from staying on.

Is this just because there a wrong connection somewere?

It'll be on permanent live, switch the red a yellow connectors if it's an ISO harness that is.

all of you are wrong, your wiring has been adapted to bypass the ignition feed hense the permanent staying on.

you need to run a new ignition feed to the radio (corsa b) from the cig lighter under the radio by removing the four screws and using that power as one of the lives,

so when you turn your ignition on, which turns your cig lighter on, which then turns your radio on

How do you know that it's been bypassed?

Sometimes on adapters that come with headunits the red and yellow wires will have rubber bits in the middle so that you can swap them over, because on Corsas the permanent live and ignition live are the other way round to the norm.

Shouldn't be any need for this take the lighter out and wire it to that business.

swaping the red and yellow make no difference in this case, all that will do is prevent the headunit from losing its memory.

a headunit will not stay on unless the permanent live has been split so its now powering the permanent live and ignition live.

bypassing the ignition wires like this is a common way of getting a radio to work, without running a new ignition feed or finding out what the problem with the original ignition feed was.

i know this because i do it all day long as an audio specialist
