No, it can't be more than a 10mm circle (about the size of a 5p) in the drvers' field of view. So I think you'll be fine.

Nice one, its right in my line of view, its under 10mm thou im sure (*goes off to measure it*)

I was reading a board with the windscreen MOT rules in the garage yesterday, I'm sure it said it's got to be no more than 10mm if it's in your line of view (the bit in front of you where the wipers clear) and no more than 40mm if it's a 'minor defect' outwith this area.
