Just got me solenoid fitted in me boot and its pooping ok. lock is oiled so all is good... BUT boot doesnt lift up as it pops, its like it pops and locks onto the safety lock again. u cant get it open unless sum1 holds it up (at this point its not fully locked or open) and i press the button so it opens fully - if u no wat i mean
sum1 sed 2 me i cud adjust the boot lifters so they lift earlier. is this possible? or does NE1 know any other ways to sort it out - i need hellllllllllllllpppppppppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont think u can adjust them mate, i would think you would need to change them for beefier ones.

a) Use a toggle switch instead of push to make, and just ensure u turn it off straight after (otherwise u'll burn solenoid out)

b) use a dremel and cut the safety catch off

ive burnt out 4 solenoids lol.... leavin them on...
i used a switch where u click it... go and open it so the safety is off... then when the boot is open turn it off... i cant be bovd with it at the mo... just open it from inside the boot...
but the only thing to do is to get the lifters off a different car... either vectra or something with stronger lifters

ive actually got a toggle switch as well, in my ashtray, but it wont make a difference will it, coz it still wont popall the way up.
how wud i got about cutting the safety catch off then??? - is it a gd idea 2 do??????????
