I maintain properties for a housing company, but on the odd occasion i get to empty houses where people have been evicted etc..
this was one of them houses that took hours as every singe item of clothing, furniture etc had to be checked for booby traps...
eg of boody trap.. putting the needle face up in a lightswitch cord so as you slide your fingers down it you get stabbed.. (not a nice thought)
and no, this isnt how i found it all,, it was scattered throughout the flat.

My friend worked for the council housing service and oversaw getting people in to clean the houses out when people moved out/were evicted. Alledgedly in one of the houses they found something like 300-400 used needles, the majority of which was found in what was believed to be a kids room. They even had some sellotaped to the underside of mattresses etc.

Scumbags half of them. We did a fire damage repair job where the tenant (who was suspected of burning down the house in the first place) came to our contractors half way through the job and accused them of stealing Ł5000 cash he had left in a pair of jeans in the house
Not seen drugs in any of the properties I've been in though.....

Someone got taken into the mental health unit and the staff found a joint the size of a marker pen on them it was fucking huge, no wonder they had head problems
Horrible thought aswell needle stick injuries especially the fact they are deliberate traps  
We have one of the nicest guys in the world that comes into the pharmacy for his HIV meds. Ex police that got stabbed by a junkie
