Currently have a private plate on my car but I want to sell the plate.

Can I list on it on ebay while its on the car then once sold just transfer it to the new owner ? Don't want to bother keeping it on retention or anything.

I'm pretty sure youcan, but it will make it a lot less appealing to buy as its a bit of a process still to go through before it gets on the buyer's car.

Yes, might take a few weeks to sort out though so make it clear on your advert that it it still assigned to your car & will be put onto retention & transferred to the buyer upon a successfull sale.
