whats the best way to repair cracked b pillar, i get it welded but keeps coming back

somet really wrong there mate if it keeps coming back after welding. Wot part of north wales u in ?

Vaux used to do repair kits for them, you get a strenthening plate welded on the inside of the quarter panel, behind where it cracks.

strange thing is i have another corsa same year and no cracked pillars but rusty as f##k

some cars do it some dont, most people find that the post face lifts dont do it as much as the pre, but as derv-power said it would cost vauxhall a utter fortune to fix this little fuck up, think how much it is to ge a garage to cut the panel out and strengthen it then re spray it..

vaux did do it as a recall many years ago, pretty sure of that. the later shells had a small plate behind the b pillar, thats why you dont see later shells with cracked pillars, where as the early ones didnt have the plate and then with the sheel twisting causes it too crack

i think i m going to see whats in the repair kit
but will probably weld it the fill behind it with windscreen bond

ive just had my b pillars welded as mines 1996 not facelift im in danger of it just cracking again arent i ? so where could i get these strengthening plates from or would a welder just use any plate to strengthen it? and if it str8 forward just a cause of taking trim off on the inside ?

i read some where that you should fill behind it with tigerseal and this helps stop it?

wont be as good as a plate welded in tho will it lol, but im guessing itl help it wont it
