I need an inverter for my laptop. Its an advent 5711 and I cant find an inverter anywhere ! Any idea where I can source one ?

Do you mean an inverter (for the backlight) or a power supply?

If inverter, you could always try one of the "repair my screen" places on eBay or the net and ask if they would sell parts only? Failing that have you asked Advert themselves? I assume it's no longer under warranty...
