hi lads,
gettin a very weird but faint rattle coming from my engine, not very noticable but i can hear it at higher revs.
just wondering if anyone can shed any light as aposed to what this might be? gotta pick my girlfriend up from work in a bit and dont really wanna drive it if its summit that can cause more problems?
cant really make out where its coming from, defo not from the head, but not sure if anything to do with cambelt/waterpump/alternator and pulleys etc?
cheers in advance, aaron

Could just be a clip or something, mine rattled for months, had a look under the bonnet while someone rev'd it to 3.5k (normally where it rattled) and found out it was some clip near the manifold, just bent it out a little and it sorted it!

well mine was the waterpump bearing which got worse and had abit of movement to which nocked the engine out of time and made the headgasket go so i was lucky, could of been alot worse.
i would get it checked out propperly and see if a garage or somebody who you know is good with engines thinks its the same, rather then getting things changed and its still there.
if it is the water pump get it changed asap
