Well - Here's the story of my 5 door Vegas!

I was offered this, as a non runner a few months back - Almost 10k ago in fairness.
The Engine was VERY loud and Tappy.

I got the car for free, so was a bargain - Box of chocolates as a good will gesture - I also bought the tax for £30 with the intention of keeping it..

On close inspection, the car showed signs of headgasket - Gunk in the oil.

On further inspection, it was just gunky due to non-use - An oil and Filter (barely any oil was even in there!), a good clean under the rocker, and new rocker gasket saw the car running like the car she should at 64k.

So..

1997 'P' Corsa 1.4 8v Vegas
Pre 97 Bumpers
64,045 on the Clock
9 Months MOT
3 Months Tax
4 New Tyres
Half tank of Petrol

£60 all in - Bargain!

I've since decided to give it to the girlfriend when she passes, so have done a few bits to spruce it up - Otherwise, Its been Wear and tear..

I've done Rear Shocks, Brake Pads, Thermostat and a Full Brake clean as wear and tear.. and have front shockers to do when removed from my 3 door..

I've also fitted some 60mm Jamex Springs (They were free, why not!), Removed the Door strips and badges (Was told the Vegas badges had to stay!), Got some Colour Coded Manual Mirrors (Free!), Smoked repeaters i had in the shed, Fitted a Sony Headunit and my Sub and Amp, and Richbrook Gear surround.

Not to mention the goodies the posty bought today - Post 97 Bumpers and all 4 Colour Coded handles with De-Locked passenger, as i broke the drivers handle...

The roofracks are because now its 'Her car' i'm not allowed loads of car parts inside as i tend to wreck the interior... so they're temporary...

I Apologise for the writing - Its a long time to have not written anything!

Anyway, the pics show some mods as they're around 9,300 miles too late... But here goes...

Future Plans:

Get rear Tow eye Cover
New Front Splitter
De-Badged Grille
Sport / SRi Alloys
5 Door Spoiler
New Gear / Handbrake Gaiters
New Rear N/S Door due to damage
Possibly Tints..

Suggestions / Opinions Welcome..

Post 97 Bumpers fitted...

What a change, Still need a Rear Tow cover in Red though.

The old rear bumper on closer inspection had been hit and was totally ruined...

Got the Electric Polisher out today, only to find that its broken and doesn't work - So that went out the window..

Anyway...

Its down 60 now... lol

But on 13's doesn't really look all that low..

My XE might be in for a 5 stud conversion soon, leaving this perfect for 2.0 Brakes and 15" Steelies for a while
