C20XE gearbox spacer
I refuse to pay £25 for that, the two bolts will be about £1 and I can make that spacer at work
Only thing is I don't no it's dimensions.
Does any know them, or by any chance have one they could measure up for me?
Thanks

Just measure the distance between the holes on the gearbox. thickness of the spacer needs to be 12mm.

No probs. I remember my spacer didn't look anything special. As long as the bolt holes match and the width is 12mm you're laughing.

you dont really need to fit the gearbox spacer. its not exactly essential. dont have to modify gear linkage if you leave it out.

My spacer was 12mm and Alistair's on VS was also 12mm.
It's possible that he doesn't need a spacer, I assumed he'd tried fitting without one. Best way is to fit without and see if one is needed or not.

before i put a spacer in my gearbox, my entire engine would move, causing the alternator pulley to rub my chassis.
But once i fitted it, normal linkage wouldn't fit sadly, but good excuse for quickshift
