As I mentioned a few weeks back I bought myself an Astra SRI 1.9 150PS CDTI with XP which is in excellent condition.

Gave it a wash for the first time this morning and come across a couple of little issues. In fact they're hardly issues I'm probably being too much of a perfectionst as I didn't buy it brand new, its a couple of years old.

Issue 1: A small section of the passenger sideskirt has come away from the bodywork. Its only come away say a quarter of a CM but now I have seen it I want to bond it back on. What's the best product to use? Will not even be taking the whole sideskirt off will just be bonding a 2 inch long section.

Issue 2: I have noticed a couple of light scratches here and there. Nothing major that won't go with a decent polish. What's the best polish to use on silver lightening paint?

Danke

OK...

Issue 3: The boot won't now open. It was fine then now won't open. On the new Astra they have a solenoid kind of boot pop so when you push it the boot opens. Its now dead and doesn't do anything. I have no button on the fob to open the boot or inside the car.

Any other way of opening the boot?

Resets the electrics. The system can get confussed if you open and close certain things whilst some bits are locked/open etc.

Nothing to lose apart from having to reset the clock!
