In the line of fire - ITV 10pm last night.

Was such a good program 10x better than traffic cops.

It was about the C019 Armed Response Unit in London's MET Police.

Brilliant program, cant believe how common it is for 15 year olds in London to walk around with a loaded gun, the amount of gang crime etc is just shocking. Said something like over 400 guns including automatic weapons such as AK47's Uzis etc are recovered each month!

Its funny though when these Armed Response units turn up to the gangs, they're there acting all bad in the street with guns, then suddenly the police turn up with Heckler & Koch G36's and shout 'Armed Police!! Get on your fucking knees now! Then slam them on the floor.....They absolutely shit their pants.

Would be such a great job to do, but I can imagine its very hard to get into and would take years of commitment and training.

Its on again next week so tune in

I watched it..

The ARU's piss me off a bit as they are so heavy handed even when responding to a totally unsubstantiated claims.

For example you could phone the police and say you've just been threatened by your neighbour with a gun and in about 4 minutes their front door will be flat on the floor and your neighbour will be eating carpet with several MP5's pointed at them.

But if you phoned the police saying your neighbour had just been stabbed I would doubt a copper would show for about an hour.

It was brilliant, Like you said, much better than traffic cops/ roadwars/ nightwatch etc.

Its crazy to think that dude didnt think twice about shooting on unarmed officers in a car. Did you see the bullet on his lap!! lol. If he can shoot at them, then he wouldnt care about shooting you or me. Although he got Life in prison so he wont be out for atleast ooooooo 10yrs LOL

That guy was a complete knob did you see his face at the end..he was like 'whats happend, what have I done?' Im glad people like that get caught.

Next week looks immense, where theres that gang in the street and the police tell that one guy to put his hands on his head and he just stands there...then wham! he runs at him and throws him on the ground and sticks a gun in his face!

Whats the difference between CO19 and SO19? There both armed police units.

Yeah I watched it too, was excellent. Much better than "oh look, another uninsured driver has pinged the ANPR, oh look he's drunk too" etc etc.

Better that way than getting shot. You can always apologize for giving someone a few bruises.

Its the fact they take doors off hinges, smash windows etc. on a whim... Theres no police inteligence used, just bang, bang, bosh.. "Oh sorry mate"..

They're not going to knock politely on the door though are they and go 'Excuse me Mr. Violent we have reason to believe your harbouring a weapon...'

Cant take chances, its better to be wrong sometimes than risk getting shot.

If they have reson to believe there is someone inside with a gun, they're not going to hesitate and wait till they are 100% sure, they're gonna go in there and deal with it.

Was this a repeat of the one that was on earlier in the year?

And as said, SO19 is the old name for CO19.

Yes they will have. Before they've gone near that front door, they'll have already done checks on it.
