Got a new car which came with no Tax. and been unable to drive anything for last week now.

I need tax.

I have the insurance copy, the Mot certificate and the log book new owner slip.

but the new owner slip doesnt have my name on due to a mistake before so the past owner as paid and requested a new log book for me in my name in person at the DVLA office in Wales. so im waiting for that to come but got a feeling that will take ages to come knowing how slow the dvla is.

So anyway around this?..will i actually need the full Logbook to get tax? its probably going to be the case of waiting weeks on end for it to come but thought ild ask!

thanks
