anyone know where the water pump would be on an mr2?
Im not a great mechanic just know the basics etc and im going to find my water leak tomorrow..
I've just heard sometimes if the pump goes it leaks water.. am I right? hopefully not..
I leaks even if the car isnt running
(pour water in and its pours out under the middle of the car)
Im hoping its a hose, just got to take the undertray off tomorrow

you're waterpump will be attached to you're engine, not that i'd know for your exact engine, but it'll stick be attached to the engine in order to drive it.
Water pumps can often be noisy when broken, and would only leak when running. It's prob just a hose mate!

you can also buy the speedo cog from him if you havent fixed yours(you dont have to remove the engine mount like the prannys tell you to on the mr2 forums)

I just had my pump changed as I was losing water at a drastic rate. It wouldn't drop water when standing and mentioned above.

it will be the hoses that run to the front of the car to supply the heater matrix, common problem of them corroding on the mr2. they are a bastard to change!
just link the circuit out in the engine bay by cutting the pipes and linking them together if your needing to use the car. mind it will be a bit cold in this weather with no heaters!

the price i cant remember but it was under 15quid if that helps. as for the job you just need to get a small spanner to crack the nut holding the speedo drive in then undo it with your fingers and wiggle out the drive unit. the engine/box mount is in the way slightly but by no means does it need to be removed. theyre a bunch of jokers on the mr2 forums, many of the users pay a garage to check their tyre pressures
