You mean you deleted a directory with your movies in?
Use GetDataBack (there is an NTFS and FAT version, make sure you use the correct version), it isn't free but i'm sure know where to look, and then do a search on the drive and recorver as required. It's pretty easy, although if it's a large harddrive it can take a while to do the searching (recovery depends on how much you want to recover etc).

Is it not in the recycle bin by any chance?
Otherwise stop moving any files about and get some recovery software!

System restore to yesterday wont get my movies back will it?
Yes i deleted a file called 'Movies' that contained all my films. It said the file was too big to go in the recycle bin but just assumed i was deleting the right one(a folder inside the movies folder) but turns out it wasnt.
Ill tyr GetDataBack, how do i know which version i need?

They won't be in the recycle bin as chances are the recycle bin capacity wont be ore than a few GB.

System restore only restores settings (i.e reg changes) IIRC
