18. Number of trailers drawn by a towing vehicle (Regulation 83)
A wheeled motor vehicle - 1 trailer. This is the normal requirement. In order for a
vehicle to tow two trailers in a carnival, a VSO will be required even if individually
the towing vehicle and the trailers meet the above requirements and are compliant
with Construction and Use Regulations.

I think the point was more about pulling out to overtake then realising there's an extra 29 feet of it

Just put a sticker on the back saying "This truck is longer than you think" I've actually seen it on a few trucks.

i thought that a vehicle can pull more weight dependant upon axle load capacities and chassis variants. when i worked at daf there was a left hander used for pulling 200 tonne. its owned by curtis transport scunthorpe, ive seen that on the road pulling some monsterous loads, im all in favour of this

cant see them holding much more volume than a double deck trailer, likes of which already used by initial, dpd, tesco, b&q to name a few

surely they are the same?

They are only a few foot longer than a normal artic. These super things are about 25 foot longer.

they are being removed by 2011 those buses

All lorries should be banned - back on the railways

Cause so much congestion when using 2 lanes of the motorway

government wont allow it.

less lorries on the road equals less road tax for government, less fuel duty earnt for government.

all comes down to how much they can earn.
