Definately not fake, a lot of maths and physics equations. test run with a dummy the same weight as him then the final jump. get the calculations right and it would be an easy feat.

It's certainly possible to line the pool up to where he would land (easily simulate it), but 4ft worth of water isn't enough to slow you down without breaking bones.
