I think it was the welds on the intake, but he didn't have his laptop to tell him and it happened before his floor fell off.

Smoke coming out of a clutch is fairly normal in big power cars. I remember SteveW's LET used to get a little bit smokey when he floored it

nah that was just the oil,petrol,water and anything else that fancied leaking out the engine at the time

Just what I thought. At first it looks like it's not going too fast and doesn't look too bad, then it just picks up speed - it looks like a bit of a hill it's rolling down.

The force of a rolling car is unreal, ripped him right out the harnesses as well, not very nice how he is hanging out the window and gets smashed off the ground a few times.

drag cars like that are single speed remember and run torque converters so not a conventional clutch as such.

The outer casing of the clutch case has to be made from titanium to meet with the regulations to stop the clutch fragmenting like the one in that video. If titanium gets hot enough, especially if its in small pieces, it will burn as seen on aircraft fires. Pretty impresive stuff!
