Hey im new to all this. I'm thinkin bout getting a corsa sport 1.6 to do night events in and i was wandering if anyone has already done this? What mods have they done etc? what make coilovers are best for rallies etc pretty high ones? Brakes.... standard ones any good? Thanks for any help

what exactly are the limitations for night stages? or can you pretty much just use any vehicle? is it the average speed type rallying?

loads of them really. I'm not totally sure on them all. I just know that using something like a corsa I cant do anything to the throttle body etc.... Its all gotta look standard. So cams etc are fine and chips... heard theres something that you can do to the fuel rails on an ecotec? anyone know wot gearbox would fit the 1.6 engine with a closer ratio?

Not sure about mods on the standard TB. Inlet manifold is popular mod but it won't look standard.
You've probably already got a CR box as well. You may be able to shorten the final drive but from memory I'm not sure what donor you need for it.

been offered a 1.4 sport now aswell. is there much difference between the 1.4 and 1.6? parts cheaper etc?

no i'd still be in the bottom class as im a novice driver. is there much of a difference acceleration wise? thanks

Its a second to 60 according to the book figure. Nothing that you couldn't find with tuning but starting with more will always work out better.
