Inevitably you always end up with a collection of imperial sockets that you have no use for (unless you work on classic or American cars) so what do you do with them? No point having them taking up precious space in your toolbox!

Over the years I've always thrown them away but there must be a better use for them? Maybe there is some special charity we could donate them too who will distribute them to old men working on Triumphs and other pre-historic british rust buckets!

What does everyone else do with their A/F sockets?

What are A/F sockets?

Oh wait, you mean imperial sockets?

I find them fucking hand for bolts that are rusted on, hammer a 1/2in over a 12mm nut and away you go

I also use them on the capri

Pour a decent handfull of the smaller ones into a rugby sock. Knot it and keep it by your bed for use in the event of any kind of break-in.

They are proper old, they used to belong to my grandfather! But they have removed about 30 sets of locking wheel nuts and hunreds of rounded off bolts.

Other than that they are totally useless

Autojumbles are the best way to get rid of that sorta thing. There's always people like my old man wondering around for that one elusive socket (or indeed set) that they've lost.
