You are confusing real with old and less refined.

The petrol ones are utter jobby, diesel ones might be different

IMO diesels are usually better than their petrol equvailant

my mam has a vxr that iv drove on several occasions, not a bad looking car IMO, looks very high though, doesnt handle anywhere near as well as i would expect and the pillars really are a nightmare to drive with, especially trying to see around the massive blind spot through the silly little windows at the front. Overall though my c20xe corsa b nocks the socks of the vxr in all departments for me, much more of a drivers car, more responsive, handles much better and is just more of a fun car.feels like a small hatch should, not like a shrunken picasso.lol

in all honesty, despite that fact the vxr was obviously quicker, I preferred the drive on the diesel (then again I do prefer diesels to petrols so maybe I'm biased )

ive driven the 1.4 petrol, had it as a hire car for 7 days. i totally agree with the restrictive view as the pillars are massive. it all been built around safety.

the 1.4 felt slow but at the end of the day is only a small engine, as a general run around it would be a great car. a bit cheap inside but does the job considering they are priced well

i like the look of the vxr although i havnt driven one or been in one,

but personally id never buy any of the others
