Anyone been?
Going to be there for 2 nights in March.
Struggling to work out which area is best to stay for seeing the sights.
It looks like most stuff is in South Kowloon/North Hong Kong Island. Is this right?
Any other tips welcome. Thanks.

I lived there for seven years! you have to go to the peak for the view, go to Wan Chai / Lan Kwai Fong for a good night out, spend a day on Lantau island see the big buddha. just wander round, get the star ferry across to Kowloon too. 2 nights is not enough!

So you would say staying in North Hong Kong Island (Near the Central MTR station) is a good place to stay?

Why just 2 nights? Makes it hardly seem worthwhile..

ps, the MTR is a great cheap way to get around, but dont be scared to walk, its really not that far, shouldnt be too hot, and you get to see more of HK!

HK is one of the places I'd love to visit before I'm 30. That and Japan.

family live there, been there about 10 times, central is where the main club street is i think. Its called Lan Kwai Fong. Look it up. theres even irish bars there =), shopping is good, but to experience proper HK you need to go to the other side lol.

Don't forget to watch the light show at night, where all the buildings light up.
