I had same thing on boxing day puking and water shits, gf had same day after, then few other people I know have, only lasted about 48 hours,

As mentioned, the only way round it is a doc note, but I know a lot wont give you one unless you have been sick/off for 7 days. However some companies can ask for a doc note earlier than 7 days (if its in your contract), so I expect their must be some way to get one.
They cant do anything to you anyway unless they can prove you werent actually sick. So unless you get caught out on the town tonight or post about being out drinking and they find it you'll be fine.

Nic, just pop along to the Doctors and ask for a note.
If he sees your genuinely ill, he'll write you a letter to confirm.

well i wont be going out tonight anyway as im not really well enough. i will be back in work on saturday id say as i shoul be better by then. this is day 3 off illness so it is slightly passing. just really is an awkward time of year for it.
cant get a doctors appointment today. all booked up locally. arse.
