The black box on the end of the manifold. Has a plug and 2 vacuume pipes coming off it. Where are the pipes ment to go?

its the fuel tank vent valve.
One pipe just goes to the servo vacum the other to the fuel tank (i think).

Right so i guess one goes to the bell shaped item at the end of the fuel rail and one to the inlet? Does it matter which way round?

right you have looking down on top(writing facing up)

RIGHT
electric plug connector

MIDDLE
Vacum pipe which connects to the servo vacum between the one way valve and the inlet

LEFT
small rigid 5mm pipe with rubber 'L' on end to connect valve, this pipe runs along the bulkhead with the fuel lines

Hope this helps.

Will that be the same for a c16xe. The picture above is from my old x16xe. I cant see any pipes that are going to reach to the bulk head.

Right iv found the vacuum pipe and plugged him in. Next question is where does the vacuum pipe that comes off the bell shaped item on the end of the fuel rail go? Only place I can see it going is back to the inlet manifold, just after the throttle body?

Cheers warren, would having a vacuum leak cause my not to idle? It starts but wont hold the revs unless I keep the revs up. I dont think its a sensor because everything was fine befor the head got hungry and chewed some valves.
