Manchester City have announced a loss of £92.6 Million for 2008/09, this does'nt include Tevez, Toure and Adebayor! (Which must be another 90 Million) This is like Chelsea at the end of June 2005 when they posted losses of £140 Million!

It doesnt include the summer spending of over £140m, so that'll be the loss this year plus whatever he spends in Jan, plus the cost of getting rid of Hughes and his staff.

The good thing for them is they knew all of this would occur before investing in the club, so they obviously have the long term plan, all the debts were wiped out aswell which gives them a good fresh base to build on, and they're halfway there already, I'm more sure of Man City being a European force in the next 5 seasons, more so than Man U or Liverpool.

Chelsea are yet to be a European force (well, havent won it anyway) and have spent more than double what City have.

Chelsea made a lot of bad decisions at the wrong times, and a bit of bad luck against Man Utd, a simple slip cost them the CL.
I just get the feeling that all of Man City's future has been carfeully mapped out, rather than just impulsive clicks of the finger like Chelsea.

Possibly.
I personally dont think that Managing Director of theirs has much of a clue tbh, all his lies in the press conference were a laugh and even Mancini made him look like a prize cock.
Where as Chelsea had one of the best Managing Directors in the game at the helm and still couldnt make it all work!!

I think they will be a good strong team after next summer. The midfield and forwards have started to play well together and they have a good goalkeeper. Once they have a better defence which is surely only a matter of time before the cash is splashed they will be up there. As much as it pains me to say it.

Richards is a young English player...So if they sell him the amount for will MORE than cover the cost of a top class foreign player
