Should be reminders about MOT expiry date. Only by chance as i was tidying my cupboard yesterday, i found out it expired that day...the 8th. Luckly i got it booked in this morn for 9am.

Yeah i wish they did, had to check mine yesterday as i thought it was soon only to find out its not until the 13th feb, is a good point though why arent there reminders like there is for tax?

I missed my MOT for the corsa by about 3 weeks, luckly I wasnt stopped!

I think even the tax reminders are a piss take. Why can't people keep track of of these things? You only need tax once/twice a year and an MOT once ffs

Yeah but that means you have a year to forget about it
tax is on your car so more likely to see when its up, mot is hidden away in cupboards so less likely to be checked

i have reminders set on my phone for a week before mot is due for both cars and also on the computer.

arent you supposed to carry your mot document and insurance document around with you when you drive these days? im sure its an offence not to.

dont know, i never have and been stopped twice and they hve never questioned it.

use the sticker thats part of your mot cert and stick it on the windscreen so you dont forget

i think im stick it on the side of the dash where it meets the door. Ill see it when im getting in and out but wont annoy me stuck on the windscreen

I went 3 months without an MOT, even got pulled a couple of times in that time but nothing was said, I only realised when I had a feeling it was due. Not easy trying to remember dates for MOT's when you have 3 vehicles, I agree there should be an MOT reminder
