Milk for bulking only. if you dont want to gain fat you shoudlnt go anywhere near milk. 8g of sugar per 100ml, so in a 250ml shake thats and extra 250 cals and 20g of sugar.

Reflex is relatively drinkable with water. Its not about savouring the taste anyway

Ive cut all shakes out of my diet now, rather spend my money on chicken. Eating over 1kg of chicken breast a day so gets quite expensive.

If they're frozen they're probably still pumped with loads of water and salt to get the weight up. Only buy fresh breasts, expensive but you know what you're getting is quality.

Probably are, but fresh breasts cost a fortune. i get 50 massive ones for £25 but its only every 6 weeks as a bloke on my road works at a chicken farm. Still warm when they are delivered to me in the morning lol

So how does carbs work then when trying to bulk up
Ive had it in my head to try my best to avoid them, but obviosuly you need a tiny bit so I had tuner sandwiches but I was having other things to make a high protein diet like scrambled egg whites, chicken, porrige, and fresh orange but even the orange has like 10g of carbs in.
So how do you actualy avoid carbs shal I just eat chicken and tuna all day every day with a couple of slices of bread now and again....

Think of protein as the building blocks for muscle, and carbs as the workers who build the muscles.
Fats do the same jobs as carbs but at a slower rate, however they waste less materials so fat gain is little if any.
Fruit juice is really bad for you and should never be consumed unless its before and after training for insulin management, as all it is is sugar devoid of all the good stuff (fibre)
To avoid carbs on a proper cut, all you can eat is lean meats, veg, eggs, nuts and other dietary fat sources. milk and dairy products are bad as they contain a hell of a lot of sugar so its mandatory to stay away from them.

So as i need to bulk up to get big and turn it to muscle do i not need a low carb diet atm as i was planning too, but when i spoke to someone today who used to be a body builder and even won competitions they said you need quite a lot of carbs to put on mass

For bulking its total calories consumed - the nutrient those calories come from isnt of dire importance. However if the majority of your calories come from a protein source, your bulk will be considerably leaner than a carb saturated diet.
Carb timing is more important than the amount of carbs ingested anyway, that peri workout window is the key to optimum size gains.
