not all 2k paint is direct gloss, most needs laquer. it will say on the tin wether its direct gloss or base coat.

mix it 2:1 paint and hardener and use thinners if required.

also worth noting that its illegal to use 2k paint without the correct disposal methods and more importantly correct extraction etc.

have you looked into cellulose paint instead?

you should see my freind he is a paint sprayer and has been for about 40 yrs, he has a small workshop with naf all ventilation, wears no mask and always has a lit fag in his gob. i really do not know how he is alive, once he was spraying a mk2 escort in the focus st colour, he put a full coat on most of the car in one go. when he came out i could swear everytime he breathed out it was orange for a week or so. legend or most likely fookin idiot
