This is my desk as it is currently.
However i dont use the computer that much anymore. I was thinking of getting rid of the desk to make a lil bit more space/make my room seem bigger. Any ideas what i could do. Need to keep the TV and XBOX there.

is there any room in there to build a shelf for the xbox to sit on? i was thinking you could hang the tv on the wall and cut a hole so you could sink the xbox in there. should look pretty tidy and would be easy to do.

hmmm would it be ok to mount an xbox next to a hot water tank?

Would probably say leave door open when you're playing on xbox, as it says in destructions that it needs to be well ventilated.

It's going to overheat whether you like it or not anyway, if it's less than 3 years old you'll get a new one when it does

Im already on my 2nd one  had this one about a year though.
Im thinking some low down unit (ikea maybe) with the tv on the wall at roughly the same height.

you could box it in and use something to deflect the heat away from the enclosure. i guess the hot water tank will be on a shelf so you could put it below the shelf height. then you could partition the cupboard and insulate it to keep the heat away from the xbox. you could even rig a fan cooling system up. your choices are endless since you have a cupboard right behind the wall.

Unfortunaly the hot water tank is on the floor. Ill get a photo of it later. There is racking above, that me mum use's for drying clothes/other crap

well you could still wall mount the tv and do away with the desk. give yourself a bit more room in there.

Why not just wall mount the TV and put a shelf underneath for the xbox?

Mount the TV to the wall, then use a floating wall mount braket for the xbox
