Going to the dvla centre tomorrow to put her new private plate on her car, what documents do we need to take?

V750 document
log book
tax disc
mot (doesnt have one as the car is only a year old)

Logbook and MOT, think thats it, they stamped my logbook and sent it off, and re-printed an MOT with the new reg on. Then gave ma a new tax disc, didnt have to take old one. Then just inform your insurance.

You'll need the tax disc or the number at the top of it at the very least.

Also the V5 and retention docs.

Andy is right and yeah don't forget to change your reg number over on your insurance like i did

not always, when my private plate first went on my corsa, i didnt have the tax, they just gave me stamped addressed envelope to send it in

Everytime i've been they needed the number that runs along the top of the disc. They wouldnt change it for me otherwise.

When i went i took it with me, expecting to need it, got the bus into town so i could leave the car at home displayin no tax, and she didnt even ask for it, or take numbers off it, just gave me a new one.

I took my tax disc with me when I did mine. I can't remember if they needed it though. They never took it off me anyway

They re-issued me one, but didnt take the old one?? Strange
