Stes Corsa
1.3CDTi - 119g/km - £35 to tax
450 miles per week = 724km
724 x 119 = 86.16kg of CO2 = loads
My Astra
Z20LER - 228g/km - £400 to tax
100 miles per week = 160km (probably less, I'm overestimating)
160 x 228 = 36.48kg of CO2 = not much.
So Ste is producing more than twice the CO2 and pays £370 less.
What a stupid, stupid system.

Although, in the old fuel pricing system, diesel was approximately 15p/litre more.

Always said this its an absolute con. I do about 5,000 miles a year and pay more than people doing shit loads more than me.
Tax should be on fuel and thats it.
