hell do you buy for 2 year old boys birthday?! I have asked his Mum if there is anything in particular she wants me to get him but she came up with nothing.
Obviously toys but he has loads of toys already and chances are I would buy something he already has. Could buy some nice clothes but I dont think a 2 year old would appreciate that kind of thing
This is one of the bad parts of being a godparent along with requests to babysit

no point buying anything as it'll be in the bin in 6 months - either too small or ruined. I've set up an account for my God Daughter and every birthday/christmas I put a bit of cash in; usually about £25 each time. When she's old enough to use it wisely, I'll give her the lot

plus everytime I have bought something for her, someone else has bought her the same thing - infact this Christmas she seemed to enjoy the bag that all the presents were taken up in more than the presents themselves. She must have enjoyed it, cause she wet herself with excitement in the bag......................

doesnt matter what you get kids are more interested in the wrapping/bag/box
My daughter often gets money at birthday or xmas only 15 months right enough. We stick it in her bank account and put some of it towards new things she needs like clothes buggy etc
has more toys than she could ever play with

Clothes and footwear could go either way, as a parent myself I prefer people to get something that my child would make good use of and 2 years old they tend to love roleplay so either something like a doctors kit or maybe a DVD of their favourite cartoon (which they will probably reinact).
