Coming home from work on friday in C5 going up quite a steep hill giving it some to pull me up and the car went flat no real power... few tests later soon proved to be bad news and was time to investigate.



Nice hole, Im not really pissed off about it more gutted, car has never let me down in the 3 years since i got it and was just about to hit 70k milestone so its really out of the blue, bought in some nice upgrades before it happend and i guess in a way its happend at a good time before they went on, chance to rebuild the engine for the better just hope its ends up as good as new. The joys nothing lasts forever

179k for my 12v and all it needs is head gasket lol

That is a nice hole though. Caused any damage to the bore etc?
