I've had 2 locals in my life, one got knocked down as it was rough as toast but it was an immense pub as my group of friends literally took the place over when we were 17 and we were 9 times out of 10 the only people in there.
I then started going to another pub which was slightly more up market, I even moved into an apartment with my mate because it was opposite this place My girlfriend doesn't like it much so I only go there about once a month now, I usually got to another pub to watch the match as I'll typically see about 5-10 people I know in there so it's always good for banter.

Jonny has been in our local, The Bedfordshire Yeoman.
The Whitehouse in town is better, but I wouldn't fancy taking an away fan in there
