sorry if this is not in the right place! anyway:
My dad just managed to crash his car. Its a Ford Sierra 2.0 GLSi 1990 H reg. it has , and no it aint a lie, 55,000 miles on the clock. He has bent the front end (bonnet bumper, headlamps, and both wings. slight mark on passeger door.) This car is a bloody fast unmoded car and I guess the insurence will write it off. My dad will wanna sell it, and I will get my photos developed ASAP so you can all see what he did. If anyone is interested in the car let me know:

No, a Corsa 1.2 8v is NOT faster than a Clio. GTF.

H-Reg Sierra is not worth repairing, you can get them in the local free ads papers for £200, and they arent all dogs. No 2.0 sierra is rapid, plus they are ugly and the driving position is horrible!

Corsa 1.2 8v must be ONE of the slowest cars on the road? 44bhp and pretty heavy for what it is. I used to get dusted by 1.2 Nova's in my old one

actually its 45bhp, and anything above 2nd gear is a complete waste of time. 1st and 2nd can be quick-ish in the right hands though. Its when above 50mph that things get daft.

45bp is piss poor can't understand why they never gave it more power. Completly outclassed my Clio's/Fiestas etc of the same age

Because Vauxhall leaned off performance to get maximum MPG and cleaner air. Which we all know, as car modifiers is complete bollocks. Also that F10 gearbox was simply DREADFUL. I swear, to throw it from 2nd to 3rd required a 2 metre push forward.

Yes but the other cars in that range will have similar if not same fuel economy etc etc and at least 10-15bhp more + the ligher weight. I know you don't buy a 1200 for performance but I found it difficult to even over take at 70

Ditto. My driving experiences with the 1.2 were nightmares. Having to drop to 4th to climb slight gradients on the motorway. I can pull up steep hills at 30 in 5th with my 1.6.
