decided I wanted a little project bike

and I found a decent little base to start with on ebay..

want it purley for little tracks and jump


dont want it too heavy



Going to go for 24" rather than 26/24"


what would you guys say about the gears.. I could still put 7 or 8 gears on the back right?

you can put any gears on the back you will just need correct hub and rear mech

my friends got this bike. i sold him my old 24 inch front wheel and the ride changed completely, and definetly not for the better, way to low on the front!

then the crank arms etc were to low.

suppose the only way to get over it will be longer travel forks and shorter crank arms

As said, the P series bikes have always had extremely low bb's. Bigger forks on the front if you are getting a 24" wheel would do the job maybe. Get some 2003 Dj3's!
