I cant afford to buy a car at the moment let alone insurance, but i was bored and i done a few insurance quotes online, and im getting stupidly expensive prices. Over 2k for a 1.2 corsa?

Im 19 with a full licence for a year and a half, 0 NCb. I had a 1.4 Sri corsa just after i passed my test and that was £2400! obviously that got cancelled after i soon realised i was dreaming and couldnt afford it. so i had that insured for about 2 months and i havent had another car since.

But why is my insurance coming up so dear now but every1 i know who has a car is cheap??

Wat is the best thing to put down when getting a quote to bring it down? Ie. occupation? things like that.

Unemployed then.

The reason it might have been £600 for your matey with a provisional licence is because he will be a less risk as he will be supervised by a competent driver. Bet it'll go up once he has passed. Thats what happened to mine.

So put down your unemployed. Bound to be another reason the premium is higher, but no point bullshitting about it.

There cheaper for a reason, depending on the risk associated with those type of persons. You cant just pick the cheap ones thats fraud.
