I intended to de-restrict my airbox today but the top part looks plastic welded in, does anyone know if it can be removed?
Also, does this bit just come straight out if you drill out the plastic bits that look like rivets? That's what I did in the B but wanted to check with this.
And if anyone knows if a Vectra C GSi/Diesel air intake pipe can be fitted straight to the airbox then can you let me know  Here are links for reference: link 1, link 2, link 3.

If you get a flat head screwdriver under the pipe at the bottom of the box and prize upward it comes out fairly easily and a tap with a hammer on the end of the pipe under the lid should see it come loose iirc

Saw the top one off, and drill the bottom one out.
Only thing I'd say is I'm not convinced there is any advantage to doing it in all honesty though.
Veccy pipe isn't straight fit - needs an Astra pipe between airbox and Vectra air intake - even then it's a bit of a bodge. Is worth doing though - even my 1.2 was slightly more torquey through the gears

top one knocks out its like a cone and just prise the bottom one upwards  worked for me

Which Astra pipe is it that's needed on the intake Rich? Is it that thing in link 2?

From what I remember, I used one from a 2.2 Astra SRi

Weird  It seems to mess up the link when you click it. Take off the ? and letters/numbers at the end after where it says "partid=619" and it should work.
Cool, will look into that I feel I may have to register on CCUK for a couple of things I need help with
