How many miles are you getting from a tank?
ive got a 98 1.4 sportand when i first got it, i done 170miles on £40 driving with a heavy foot.
Now i get mayb 240 driving slowly and sensible, which surly i should get more?

i have a similar problem, if im town driving i will get about 100 miles to a tank and i dont spank the nuts off my car, but on motorways its ace, went to bournemouth last friday 120 miles and it used 2 didgets of fuel, then on the way home it started lacking power little and it used almost all the rest of the tank.. No eml, passed its mot only a few weeks back, its got a good cat and mainly new sensors, so im stumped.
I've read in a few places that if you have a power box fitted the standard map and fpr cant cope properly causing it to eter run lean or run to rich, dont know how true that is tho

Same as mine, sometimes it can be really good on petrol, but then seems to drink it all in a rather short journey,
i also had my MOT about 2 week ago and everything is fine,
whats a power box? my engine is pretty much standard

a power box is a les restrictive upper inlet manifold, releasing anything up to 15bhp depending on other mods and engine condition.

that's an X16XE with mantzel style inlet, K&N panel filter, janspeed 4-2-1, decat and a janspeed cat back
