Right, I am ditching the Green Air filter as it's fooked (used to be run with no arch liners so it's very rusty lol) plus I want to tidy up the bay with a box.
Here's how it currently is:
So there is the cone, then a small piece of pipe with whatever sensor that is in there, then a longer piece of pipe, then the AFM. All of that pipe is too small for the airbox I'm fitting it too (C16XE / GSi) top of box can just about be seen here:
Is there a single piece of pipe I can run from the AFM to the airbox from a certain engine? I guess I'll need to make a hole in the new pipe and fit / seal that sensor in too?
Cheers

Ah that's true, will do that cheers.
Ste L ran his like this (using an SFI box rubber doughnut apparently?!):
and looking at Stu_C's he ran a 1.2 box ( I think ) like this:
which looks a bit restrictive to me.
Using the bits of pipe I've got atm I was able to connect the AFM to the box earlier, but the diameter of the pipe meant it slotted into the intake on the airbox lid rather than fitted over or connected to it, it also left the other sensor disconnected which I'm pretty sure I can't get away with.
Final issue was that it meant a lot of the loom had to be relocated and was dangerously close to the alternator as I couldn't run it down the inside of the wing like it had been with the air filter there

you need a C16GSI GSI Airbox lid, and use the SFI doughnut pipe, as the outlet on the c16xe GSI is bigger
this show's the difference

Yup I've got the C16XE airbox lid. So I need to go and find an SFI pipe in the scrappy then...
What did you do with the other sensor - is it required?

it's the inlet air temp sensor..
not got that far, stripped the project and sold it all one
you could dill a hole in the airbox, and fit it that way

chances of finding an sfi donut pipe are very slim.
