Anyone know if it gets busy around Glasto when the gates open at 8am on the Weds? Is it worth getting down there for that time or could you easily stroll up around midday/afternoon and still get a decent pitch etc?

this year its opening tues at 9pm, however thats only the carparks. you cannot get in to the festival to camp until 8am Wednesday.
its under the new licensing application:

http://www.efestivals.co.uk/news/10/100112c.shtml

so i think it will be even harder to camp if you get there any later than wed afternoon.

Wed morning is a nightmare, My mate left his house (2 miles away) at 8.30 to get to mine, took him well over an hour to get to mine, every way he went the roads were chocker! Last year was especially bad!

However this year its openeing Tues night as Roffo said.

I will have my usual onsite car pass and backstage camping

Muse have pretty much been confirmed for sat night.

i think the whole tuesday night thing will be a bit of a nightmare, especially where people will be sleeping in there cars and no refreshments on hand.
also i think for those unable to get there before wednesday, camping is gong to be a pain in the backside trying to get a good spot with your mates.

anyway, nismo how the fook are you camping backstage!!
