I dropped my car in at 8am, was redy by lunch time. think it depends if it needs new brakes etc? Or found something really bad and don't want to tell you, until you ring them.

I could do oil, filters plugs etc in less than 15 mins on my sport back in the day.
I garage will prob check over breaks etc but the time they start will depend what else is going on

He rung at 10ish to say they'd found something else with the brakes and asked if i gave permission to fix it and pay for it, which i obviously said yes.
There's only 2/3 of them there and aren't answering, they rarely do when they're busy.
Only trouble is, the garage is an hour's walk away, and walking is the only option to get there today!
I'll just sit and be patient

When I do a full service at work, it takes 2 - 2 1/2 hours.
But, this includes goin through a 60 point check list, removing all wheels, and checking absolutely EVERYTHING. Breather, vaccum pipes etc.

It's called Tyres Colchester, or theres a 3 letter version they go by, BKT or something. It was recommended to me by another Corsa owner.
It's out at Copford, the nearest bus stop that i can get a bus to there from is about half the way anyway so may aswell walk!

Depends on what car, what is involved in a major service, if the car went in straight away, if it gets cleaned etc

My last VW service was pushing £650.
MOT, service (including oil change, but not an awful lot else), plus new pads front and rear, air-con regas and new wiper blades all round. Thats it
Glad my company was paying. My turn this year

My Belingo came back from the garage today with a £1200 bill
Needs a new clutch, gearbox, glow plugs, bulbs, locks, front tyres and a service.
Work have had the service done and looking into the rest of the work. It just wants scrapping....
