one will go into any part of the vacuum network, the other will go to the carbon canister behind the drivers side wing.

Plug it in and then just vent it to atmosphere, mine were cut off on my XE Corsa.
Didn't cause any probs.

Well it's develped a massive misfire when it gets quite warm and I'm wondering if this might be the cause of it.
Brake servo pipe be OK for it to go on then?

Some xe's have them some dont alan.
If they have a bit for the vent valve they sit just under the distributor. A small black block with a vacum pipe connector.

hm well it looks like it wants to go to the vacuum connector that sits beside the header tank... anyone know what's meant to be on there? I've got it blanked off just now.

That is the map sensor alan. XE's dont use these. Its only the small blocks that do.
