Not that I'm aware, either wait for the form or apply for new logbook.

had to apply for log book for golf before it went that took about 3 working days to come through.

Nissan log book took about 7 working days.

send it off with a v62, expect to wait about a month, otherwise the new keeper will have to pay £20 and might take up tp 6 weeks to get new v5

Put something in writing which you and the new owner has to sign?

something like, I (your name) have sold this car to (their name) for £xxxx on the (date) and therefore (their name) is the new registered keeper.

do 2 copies, you keep one, they have one

you have to take it for a vic test mate iv gotta do the same thing with my corsa, it because it had a smash and they have to put it through a m.o.t kinda thing and check what you have fixed is road worthy you should have a form off the dvla saying they arnt releaing your log books until its done and in that letter they will give you a form to take with you you so the asser will fill in and then you end that from off to the dvla then they realese your log books if that makes any sence lol

Thats only if its been in a crash surly?

When it gets fixed its taken to get the 'MOT' thing to check its road worthy like you said, but something like a headgasket etc wont need this doing
