You are gaining a hard drive [larger one], 4 games, and a controller or 2, for £130, don't think about it, BUY IT.

Do it.

I'm assuming you have a Core? Makes so much sense to buy an Elite.

You will only notice a differance if you have a HD tv, but the vast storage space will enable you to enjoy your games a lot more.

I'm getting a HDMI cable in the next week. Haven't bothered; had it on HD though and that's so much better than standard TV.

You'll get about £50 for a 20gb console unfortunately

From scart to HDMI it will be a massive improvement for sure. One is HD, one isn't. The difference between the HD component cable and HDMI cable is marginal I'd say, but undoubtedly others would disagree.

I found that the HDMI and Component images were pretty much the same tbh. After all Component is just an analouge way of transmitting HD images.

I upgraded from my old 20gb premium to an elite after the HDD was proving way too small.

Noticed a small difference from component to HDMI, elite is a lot quiter than my old one too.

Looks funky aswell

How does everyone fill up their hard drives out of interest? Just got a few tunes and a couple of demos on mine and have loads of space left...?

You don't need an Elite for HDMI btw, just any console made after summer 2007.

But, the only new console with a hard drive and HDMI is the Elite. Seems pointless changing from a Core to an Arcade.
